It’s been just over two years since my last post but I haven’t been idle. Shortly after that last blog I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I spent most of 2022 fighting this awful disease and most of 2023 writing about my journey.
My Breast Cancer Adventure as I ended up calling it.
With this being my third book and my travel blogs mainly occurring when we travel – I have decided to give the Darma Travels website a makeover. It will now be an amalgamation of:
Author – Emma Scattergood. This will feature news about my books.
Darma Travels. This will contain blog posts about our travels.
I am very excited to announce that
My Breast Cancer Adventure
was published this week. It is available on all major sites and also HERE.
I will also be holding a small book launch Wednesday 24 January. So if you live locally and want the details – send me a message.
A tough and honest account of fighting a devastating disease. Scattergood’s no-nonsense attitude makes the book work – KIRKUS REVIEWS – Our Verdict – GET IT.
A striking book, filled with invaluable words of survivors. This book carefully dissects breast cancer in a way that is understandable to readers and offers tips to help others find comfort – Independent Book Review.
The author’s journey with breast cancer drew me in immediately…there is such an exemplary balance between the author’s inner thoughts, dialogue, and medical terminology… I was able to really see the devastation of this illness – Independent Book Review.
I’ve read quite a few medical memoirs, and ones about Breast cancer-but this is more comprehensive than some… I didn’t even realise there are many different types of Breast cancer… It’s never complaining, and always fast-moving… An excellent read – Julie H GOODREADS
And I am equally excited to announce that come late March – we should be heading off on a new travel adventure. One that will have us:
I cannot wait to share this trip with you. If you have any questions please leave a comment below.
Yes – these trips take months to organise.
Yes – I organise them entirely myself. I may use a booking agent in a country to secure train tickets – but the rest I do myself.
Best (long) cruise tip – find a Facebook group relating to your cruise. A lot of the hard work regarding information on visas, tours and immunisation may already have been done for you.
