Caribbe 55cm and Kathmandu 50l’

One of the most exasperating decisions we had to make was what bags to take? Like most families we have a garage full of suitcases – a case for each occasion. In the end we decided to go with the four wheel hard shell Caribbee roll-on for Darryl and a Kathmandu 50l hybrid backpack for me. The roll-on will work for Darryl in that he can use it for support while the hybrid backpack gives me the option of having my hands free. Both cases are quite small so packing will be have to be done with military precision. Our daughter thinks we are mad taking such small suitcases (she recently brought herself the 70l Kathmandu hybrid). Whether we have made the correct choices’ is yet to be seen.

Another decision we had to make regarding packing was whether to use the increasingly popular packing cubes or cells. I am very much for them while Darryl doesn’t want to know about them. Whatever, I found very cheap packing cube sets on ebay for both of us. I will definitely take mine while Darryl is adamant his are staying at home.

Gosh, very organised, but I’m not surprised cousin Emma! Jennifer and I took small cases on holiday once and ended up buying larger ones after a week!

We are with the packing cube options. Borrowed them from the in laws on recent trip to Canada and loved them. I’ll use your eBay lead to get some
